1. Diploma conditions
General requirements (for all full/three year degrees)
If you do not have a Flemish or Dutch diploma or certificate, you need to prove that you meet the conditions to start an equivalent course programme in higher education in the country where you obtained your diploma. Candidates with a diploma obtained in a non-EEA member state may be set additional requirements.
2. Language conditions
English language conditions for all English-taught degree programmes
You can prove you are reasonably proficient at speaking and writing English (level B2, European Framework), if you:
obtained a Flemish secondary education diploma or a Dutch VWO-diploma
passed the ITACE test level B2 (in Antwerp, Leuven, Brussels or Ghent).
obtained the minimum score on one of the following internationally recognized language tests:
IELTS overall band score 6.5
TOEFL iBT 79 (use institution code C070)
TOEIC Listening 490 + Reading 455 + Speaking 200 + Writing 200
SAT Critical Reading & Writing 560
ACT English 20 + Reading 20
Cambridge Assessment English C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency 160
obtained an English-language diploma in secondary or higher education from an institution of one of the following countries: United Kingdom, United States of America, New Zealand, Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, Caribbean islands & South Africa
This implies that applicants who did not obtain their GCE A Level certificates in Australia, English speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the USA have to submit language test (cf. above) results.
followed your previous education in a partner institution with which Thomas More has an agreement on language requirements.
3. Residence permit
An identity card or passport is sufficient for students from an EU-member state. Other students can apply, but will need a valid residence permit for Belgium for the final registration.

Thomas More recommends using the blocked account procedure as a way to prove your means of subsistence (proof of solvency) when applying for a long stay visa type D

        In phase 1 you must enroll in 9 credits of elective courses (language, business and/or intercultural courses). You must enroll in at least 1 language elective course, which you will be set as a major language until the end of your ITL-programme. Continuing this language in phases 2 and 3 is mandatory, by enrolling then in the same language courses with follow-up level. We encourage to find a good balance between semesters 1 and 2.

        In semester 1 of phase 2 you must take 6 credits of elective courses (language, business and/or intercultural courses). You must enroll in at least 1 language elective course (follow-up major language phase 1).

        In semester 1 of phase 3 ou must enroll in 9 credits of elective courses (language, business and/or intercultural courses). You need to enroll in at least 1 language elective course (follow-up major language phase 1 and 2).
