Following chapters are covered:

- Complex numbers - objectives: students can define the origin, meaning of complex numbers, make arithmetic operations with complex numbers (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), represent complex numbers in different ways and convert from one form to another (cartesian, polar and trigonometric form);

- Differential equations - objectives: students can classify differential equations according to different properties, solve 1st and 2nd order differential equations in different ways (separation of variables, integrating factor, characteristic equation, indeterminate coefficients, (inverse) Laplace transformation), present practical problems/issues with a differential equation and solve them;

- Laplace transformations - objectives: students can calculate the Laplace transformation of a given function using partial integration, prove certain properties of the Laplace transformation, split a polynomial function into partial fractions to calculate the inverse Laplace;

- Linear Algebra; Matrices and Vectors - objectives: students know the difference between scalar numbers and vectors, the properties of vectors and can represent vectors graphically and add and subtract. Students can construct a matrix from given equations (system), can do basic operations with matrices, know different types and properties of matrices, can calculate the determinant of a matrix, can solve a system of equations using matrices by applying Cramer's rule, can calculate the inverse of a matrix.
