Project Management
- The student knows important basic principles of project work such as project planning, roles within a project team, time management, project control, dealing with change, collaboration in projects,...
- The student knows the basic principles of quality improvement within project work (V-model, risk management, improvement management).
- The student knows the basic principles of qualitative and efficient (team) communication.
Communication - communication skills
The student acquires insight into the theoretical background of efficient (team) communication and impactful presentation techniques. The student receives specific tools regarding giving and receiving feedback, Johari window, core competencies, situational leadership, presentation techniques, ... These theoretical insights and tools are practiced via a final presentation at the end of the series of lessons. At the end of the lessons the student:
- has insight into effective (team) communication and what causes less effective communication.
- has insight into his/her own way of communicating and can analyze the way others communicate.
- can identify pitfalls in the communication process and knows techniques to improve this process.
- understands methods of giving feedback.
- has an understanding of techniques to present impactfully.
- applies the basic principles of presenting with impact in a presentation project (elevator pitch).
