For the learning objectives of the French 4 course, the focus is on oral professional language use:

- you understand texts and audiovisual documents on familiar issues from current affairs and the work environment

- you build on previously acquired grammar and vocabulary knowledge

- You master the specific vocabulary to communicate adequately in a professional context

- You react efficiently in interaction with internal and external professional contacts, colleagues, team members

- You use the tools provided to improve your language level

- you focus on correct and nuanced language use

    First examination period

    - permanent evaluation: 30%

    - oral examination: 70%

    The permanent evaluation includes several parts:

    - The student prepares lessons according to the schedule provided on Canvas

    - The student works out assignments, exercises and/or presentations

    - The student actively participates in the lessons and in the exchange project

    - The student assimilates the specific vocabulary and applies it in exercises and/or tests

    The oral exam evaluates - besides the general basic knowledge of French – professional vocabulary and oral business language skills through open questions on the topics seen.

    Information about retaking exams

    This course unit does not allow partial mark transfers.

    Second examination period (August)

    - oral exam:70%

    - written exam on computer: 30%

    The oral exam proceeds identically to the first exam opportunity: it evaluates - besides the general basic knowledge of French – professional vocabulary and oral business language skills via open questions on the topics seen.

    The material tested on the written exam is communicated via Canvas.
