- Reading: business and personal e-mails, business texts from the German-speaking media on social and business topics and Landeskunde, blog posts
- Writing: company internal communication (e.g. applications, ...); company external communication (e.g. mails with questions about quotations, quotations, mails to other companies, invoices, invitations, ...); short business and personal texts;
- Listen: conversations between colleagues, telephone conversations from the personal or professional sphere, presentation of a current topic, company presentation, ...
- Speaking: giving short presentations, giving opinions and discussions, speaking about general and topical subjects, …
- Supporting elements: business-oriented vocabulary (partly to be acquired in self-study) and grammatical items (repetition German 1+2+3, deepening).

Assignments: students will complete assignments during the semester that they submit by the pre-set deadline. Some assignments require class attendance. Deadlines are always announced on Canvas at least 1 week in advance.
In preparation for the oral exam, students will complete a Take-Home assignment.

Anyone who fails to submit an assignment on time, receives a zero for that assignment.
Timely uploading of this assignment is a condition for participation in the oral exam.
Information about retaking exams
This course unit does not allow partial mark transfers.
Only oral (40%) and written (50%) exam. The students make a completely new Take-Home assignment (10%). Deadline for uploading is 8 August. Timely uploading of this assignment is a condition for participation in the oral exam. The marks from the permanent evaluation will no longer be taken into account.
